The Town of Charlton is seeking to leverage the building of a new Amazon facility at 53 Sturbridge Road, along Route 20, to achieve the following goals and objectives:
Facilitate the development of ancillary businesses to support the new Amazon facility
Create a pedestrian friendly corridor
Promote economic development along the corridor
Development of additional restaurants, light retail, and supportive housing
Attract development of a major supermarket chain
This study will explore alternative site planning and land use strategies based on each property's inherent opportunities and constraints to determine their highest and best use for new development or redevelopment.
